Sun tans & Snow falls. What a Week!

Wow, it's been almost a month since I added anything here. It's been a busy November, but I really can't believe it's about over. Time really is flying these days. I was driving home from a weekend camping trip with my folks and just looking at the incredible colors of the trees canopying some of the roads. Most people think Texas is just flat open spaces, but we do have some incredible landscapes if you know where to look. Hills and valleys, trees and pastures.

The first of last week was literally in the 80's and by Saturday the nights were near freezing. As I sit here tonight, not a week from the 80 degree weather of last Monday, there is a thin blanket of snow everywhere. It rained each night of my camping trip. My poor old pop up trailer was anything but water tight. It's seen better days. I mean we did get the thing when I was in Fifth grade and have pulled it all over Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and once to Florida and back.

We got smart and covered one end with plastic tarps. We didn't have enough to cover both ends, just where I was sleeping. Last night I spent the night emptying the jar that caught the water from the ceiling on the other end. At least I wasn't at home. It was good to get away. I've been wanting some seasonal weather and we got it.

Well, just rambling at this point, so guess I'll add more when something exciting happens.
